A 14-year-old boy was critically injured when the motorbike he was riding collided head-on with a van in Queensland's northeast.

Crash Details

The incident occurred on Lindeman Drive at Bloomsbury around 2:30 PM on Saturday. The teenager was riding a KTM motorbike when it crashed into a Toyota Hiace van.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the boy was airlifted to Townsville Hospital in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Van Driver Unharmed

The van driver, a 42-year-old local woman, was not physically injured in the smash. Police have confirmed she is cooperating with the investigation.
