Masked man exposes himself at Yanchep shopping centre

Western Australia Police are investigating an incident in which a masked man allegedly exposed himself to a female staff member inside the public toilets of Yanchep Central Shopping Centre on Tuesday evening.

Incident details

According to police, the incident occurred around 8pm on 30 June 2026 in the public toilet area of the shopping centre located on Peony Boulevard in Yanchep. A man is reported to have exposed himself to a female worker before leaving the premises before authorities arrived.

The suspect is described as fair-skinned, aged between 40 and 50 years, approximately 175cm tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and a white face mask at the time of the incident.

Social media claims

The investigation follows an anonymous post in the Yanchep & Surrounds People’s Page Facebook group that alleged the man had also exposed himself to a minor and attempted to drag a cleaner into a toilet stall. Police have not confirmed these additional allegations and urge the public to rely on official information.

Appeal for information

Investigators are appealing for anyone who was at the shopping centre at the time, witnessed any suspicious activity, or has information that could assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers online or by calling 1800 333 000. Reports can be made anonymously.
