Several people have been injured in a serious bus crash on Thursday morning in Perth's northern suburbs. The Transperth bus crashed into a tree on Joondalup Drive in Wanneroo just after 11am.
Emergency Response
Western Australia Police confirmed that multiple passengers sustained injuries, and emergency services are currently at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Road Closures and Traffic Impact
Images from the 7NEWS chopper show the bus having crashed into a tree near the Wanneroo Road exit. As a result, Joondalup Drive eastbound before Burns Beach Road and Wanneroo Road is closed in both directions. Motorists are advised of significant congestion in the area and are urged to exercise caution and seek alternative routes.
