Two Men Arrested Over Armed Home Invasion South of Adelaide

Two men have been arrested following an alleged armed home invasion south of Adelaide that left a 40-year-old man hospitalised with assault injuries. The incident occurred on Wheatsheaf Rd at Morphett Vale about 2.30am on Monday, according to SA Police.

Arrests Made in Christie Downs

The 23-year-old and 31-year-old suspects were taken into custody in Christie Downs on Tuesday evening after a police lockdown of the area. They are expected to face court on Wednesday, charged with forcing entry into the home, where gunshots were reportedly fired during the ambush.

Police allege that as officers arrived at the Morphett Vale home on Monday, they observed a black SUV and a black station wagon leaving the address. A pursuit of the station wagon, which was allegedly stolen from the home, was initiated but later called off at the intersection of Main South Rd and Flaxmill Rd due to safety concerns. The stolen vehicle has not yet been located.
