Perth’s extended spell of sunny skies is set to come to an abrupt halt this weekend as a weather system moves in, bringing up to 105mm of rain and the possibility of thunderstorms into the start of next week, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Fine Start to the Week
Wednesday will be a fine day with a top of 21°C after an overnight low of 8°C. Thursday is expected to be similar, offering a final day of clear conditions with a maximum of 22°C and a minimum of 9°C.
Rain Arrives Friday
The sunshine will end on Friday as showers develop, with up to 35mm of rain forecast. The temperature will struggle to reach 18°C after dropping to 10°C overnight.
Weekend Thunderstorm Risk
Saturday morning carries a chance of a thunderstorm, with up to 30mm of rain expected. The minimum will be 10°C and the maximum just 17°C, making for a chilly day.
Continued Showers into Next Week
Showers will ease somewhat on Sunday, with around 15mm forecast and a high of 18°C. The wet weather continues into the new week, with 10mm expected on Monday and 15mm on Tuesday. Temperatures will remain cool, with lows of 7°C and highs of 17-18°C.
