Due to the timing of the diversion, the aircraft arrived in Adelaide at approximately 1am, which is after the standard curfew hours at the airport. As a result, authorities issued a priority landing clearance to allow the flight to land safely despite the late hour. Passenger Accommodations and Alternative Travel Arrangements
Following the landing, Qantas provided accommodations for affected passengers. Some travelers opted to stay in the airport lounge overnight for a few hours, while others were transported to hotels offered by the airline. Early on Saturday morning, passengers boarded a replacement aircraft, flight Qantas 883, which successfully landed in Perth at 7.53am, allowing them to continue their journeys with minimal further disruption.

A spokesperson for the airline stated, "We know that this would have been a frustrating experience for our customers and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience." The spokesperson further confirmed that all passengers had been re-accommodated on flights from Adelaide to Perth on Saturday morning to ensure their travel plans could proceed as smoothly as possible.
