A significant outage on the Vodafone mobile network has left millions of Australians unable to make calls, send text messages, or access the internet this morning.
Vodafone Confirms Widespread Issues
Vodafone acknowledged the disruption, stating that customers across the country are experiencing intermittent service problems. The company’s technicians are urgently investigating and working to restore normal operations.
“We are aware that some customers are experiencing intermittent issues with Vodafone service and we are urgently investigating,” the company said in a statement. “We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”

Complaints began pouring in shortly after 7am local time. According to outage-tracking website Downdetector, more than 8,000 reports were recorded at the peak of the disruption, highlighting the scale of the problem.
Customers have taken to social media to express frustration, with many reporting that they cannot use basic mobile services. The cause of the outage remains unclear, and Vodafone has not provided an estimated time for full restoration.
