UK Government Launches AI Job Assistant Tool for Job Seekers
UK Government Launches AI Job Assistant Tool

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has unveiled a new artificial intelligence-powered work assistant tool, which he described as a "jobcentre in your pocket," aimed at helping individuals who are unemployed find suitable employment opportunities.

What Is the AI Job Tool?

During a speech at the opening of London Tech Week, Starmer explained that the AI assistant will support job seekers by helping them identify appropriate jobs, create professional CVs, and ultimately re-enter the workforce. The tool is designed to be available around the clock, offering 24/7 assistance to users.

How Will It Be Tested?

The government plans to trial the AI assistant for a period of three months online. This pilot phase will allow officials to assess its effectiveness and gather feedback from users before any potential wider rollout.
