The global coffee giant Starbucks is set to pour its eighth cup of Western Australian expansion this week, with a brand new store opening in the northern suburb of Tapping.
The grand opening for the Tapping location is scheduled for Thursday, November 20. Situated just off Wanneroo Road, the new caffeine hub will welcome customers seven days a week from 6am until 8.30pm.
Seasonal Sips and Exclusive Swag
Perth's newest Starbucks is launching just in time for the summer and holiday season. The store's debut coincides with the nationwide release of Starbucks' much-anticipated seasonal beverage menu.
Patrons can cool down with Iced Matcha and Strawberry Matcha creations, or get into the festive spirit with returning favourites like the Peppermint Mocha Cold Brew and the Gingerbread Latte.
Alongside the drinks, the Tapping store will feature a range of exclusive holiday merchandise. Shoppers can get their hands on limited-edition items including a gingerbread house mug and a red bow tumbler, perfect for an early Christmas gift. This follows a trend of highly sought-after Starbucks collectibles, which have caused shopping frenzies in other countries.
Grand Opening Celebrations and Frappuccino Happy Hour
To mark the occasion, the team at Starbucks Tapping is rolling out the red carpet with a special promotion. The store will host a Frappuccino Happy Hour between 3pm and 5pm on opening day.
During this two-hour window, every Frappuccino purchased in-store will be available at a 50 per cent discount, offering a sweet deal for those looking to celebrate the launch.
Starbucks' Rapid Expansion in Western Australia
The opening of the Tapping store marks a significant milestone in the coffee chain's ambitious rollout across the state. It comes just 13 months after Starbucks first planted its flag in WA with the Piara Waters store, which attracted massive crowds of curious locals.
Since that initial launch, the company has rapidly expanded its footprint, opening six additional stores in Clarkson, Ellenbrook, Murdoch, Mandurah, Beeliar, and Butler.
A spokesperson for Starbucks Australia expressed excitement about this next step, stating, "Starbucks is ready to welcome the community and share the spirit of the season, marking another milestone in the brand’s expanding Western Australian footprint."
