Wanneroo Business Expo 2026 Moves to High-Tech Neerabup Robotics Hub
Local businesses in the Wanneroo area are preparing for the upcoming Business and Community Expo, which this year will take place at the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct in Neerabup. Hosted by the Wanneroo Business Association, the event is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, 2026, and will feature more than 50 exhibition booths.
Connecting Local Businesses and Community
The flagship event aims to connect local businesses, service providers, community organisations, and industry leaders for an afternoon of networking and opportunity. Wanneroo Business Association president Andy Kahle emphasised the benefits of bringing together a diverse mix of industries and business stages in one location.
"A lot of local businesses really struggle to get in front of people without spending loads of money on marketing," Mrs Kahle said. "We want to provide something that’s more than just putting your business out on local Facebook groups. It’s more than just shouting to the online void. It’s a place to really connect and to realise that you’re not doing this alone."
She added that the Expo offers a chance to put local businesses in a room with other owners, fostering support, encouragement, ideas, and collaboration.
New Venue Showcases Technological Development
This year’s event marks a shift to a brand-new location, allowing visitors to explore local technological advancements while activating spaces within the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct. The expo will include a main exhibition floor, desk-based business exchange spaces, short seminars in an auditorium, dedicated networking and breakout areas, and outdoor food vendors.
Precinct national robotics and Innovation lead Renu Kannu highlighted the event’s role in showcasing economic development. "Hosting the Wanneroo Business Expo at the AARP is a fantastic opportunity to bring the local business community together and support the City of Wanneroo’s economic development goals," Ms Kannu said.
"As a foundation partner, the City of Wanneroo and AARP strongly align to catalyse innovation and collaboration, increasing the Precinct’s visibility and brand credibility as an ecosystem enabler."
Event Details and Community Impact
The expo will run from 11.30am to 4pm, followed by a sundowner for all attendees and exhibitors. Mrs Kahle stressed that this is not just about handing out brochures or browsing displays. "This is a place to connect and have real conversations with local business owners, without feeling like you are being pitched to or sold to," she said.
Tickets are priced at $15, which includes a coffee and a $5 donation to a local charity. They can be purchased through the Wanneroo Business Association website. This event promises to build genuine connections within the Wanneroo business community, supporting local growth and innovation in a dynamic high-tech setting.
