University of Newcastle students have unveiled a creative design for a turntable plaza, aiming to transform a historic railway roundabout into a vibrant community hub. The project, part of their urban planning coursework, reimagines the unused space with greenery, seating, and public art.
Innovative Design Concept
The turntable plaza concept retains the circular railway turntable structure, integrating it into a pedestrian-friendly area.
