Nearly a year after the highly publicised trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura has made a major life decision. The singer has left the United States and has no intention of returning, according to newly filed court documents.
Ventura filed an official declaration dated May 1 as part of her ongoing lawsuit against male sex worker Clayton Howard. In the document, she states: “I reside outside of the United States. I do not intend to move back to the United States,” as reported by TMZ. Representatives for the singer did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
It remains unclear where Ventura has settled or when she made the move, but the timing comes nearly a year after she testified against Combs in his racketeering and sex trafficking case in New York. As part of the federal criminal trial, she submitted a statement confirming she is a “citizen of the United States” and “not a resident of the state of California.”
During her testimony, Ventura detailed the alleged years of abuse she suffered during her relationship with Combs, which lasted from 2007 to 2018. She also revealed that she received $20 million (approximately $28 million Australian) in settlement money from “Sean and his companies” after filing a bombshell lawsuit in 2023, accusing him of rape, physical abuse, and forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes.
Combs was ultimately found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering. After the verdict, Ventura’s lawyer, Doug Widor, issued a statement praising her courage: “This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023. Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution.”
Ventura’s move comes amid her legal battle with Howard, one of the male escorts prosecutors claim Combs hired. Howard filed a lawsuit against Combs and Ventura on July 3, 2025, alleging that Ventura gave him a sexually transmitted disease and had an abortion without telling him after he got her pregnant. He also accuses her of manipulating him into taking ecstasy and having unprotected sex, and forcing him to masturbate for extended periods, often leading to injury. Howard claims he sustained physical and psychological injuries, lost wages, medical expenses, pain and suffering, emotional distress, and loss of enjoyment of life.
