Bystanders have intervened to prevent two teenagers from stealing alcohol from a bottle shop on the New South Wales Central Coast.
Incident at Dan Murphy's
The teenage boys, both wearing hoodies, were confronted by members of the public as they attempted to leave a Dan Murphy's store, believed to be located in Tuggerah, with their stolen haul.
In a video of the incident posted online, one man can be heard saying, "Step the f*** back, put it back." The boys complied, putting the alcohol back on the shelves before trying to cover their faces and leave the store again.
"Too late boys, you're already on video," another bystander responded.
Police Investigation
The incident has since been reported to police, who are now investigating the attempted theft. The video footage has been widely shared online, drawing attention to the swift intervention by the public.
Authorities are urging anyone with further information to come forward.
