A dramatic crash in the Perth suburb of Duncraig has left a vehicle wedged against a house, with the driver remarkably escaping unharmed. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Iolanthe Drive around 10:40 PM on Thursday after a silver Hyundai Santa Fe lost control and slammed into a residential property.
Vehicle Pinned Against House
The force of the collision was so severe that the car ended up pinned on its side, trapped between the home and a retaining wall. The vehicle remained lodged in that precarious position through Friday morning, drawing the attention of neighbours and passers-by.
Despite the violent impact, the driver, a man in his 40s, managed to free himself from the wreckage without any assistance. He sustained no injuries, which authorities have described as fortunate given the circumstances.
Police Investigation Underway
Western Australian police are now investigating the events leading up to the crash. They are urging anyone who may have captured the incident on CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area around the time of the crash to come forward.
