Farmer Wants a Wife Couple Harry and Tess Announce Engagement After Four Years Together

Fans of the popular reality TV show Farmer Wants a Wife are celebrating as season 12 favourites Harry Lloyd and Tess Brookman have officially announced their engagement, marking a significant milestone after four years of dating. The couple, who captured hearts on the match-making program in 2022, are now set to tie the knot, solidifying their love story that began on national television.

A Romantic Proposal at Mitchelton Winery

Lloyd, a 27-year-old farmer from Kyabram, Victoria, orchestrated a heartfelt surprise proposal for Brookman, 26, at the picturesque Mitchelton Winery in Nagambie on March 14. To ensure the moment was perfect, he devised a clever cover story, arranging a lunch date with a university friend who would cancel at the last minute. "I organised everything with the staff," Lloyd revealed in an interview with Woman's Day, highlighting his meticulous planning.

Brookman, who was completely unaware of the surprise, shared her excitement, saying, "I was none the wiser." She described the magical moment when Lloyd got down on one knee, presenting a sparkling ring nestled in a charming cowboy hat as the ring box. "So cute, and so Harry, if you know him!" she exclaimed, adding that she was so overwhelmed that she said yes even before he could finish asking the question.

Special Touches and a Vintage Ring

The engagement was made even more memorable with a friend secretly recording the proposal from behind a tree, capturing the joyous occasion. Brookman also shared a touching detail about the ring, which holds significant sentimental value. "It's a beautiful trilogy diamond vintage ring," she explained, noting that Lloyd had gone to great lengths to find the perfect piece.

Despite never discussing specific details about marriage, Lloyd knew Brookman's preference for vintage or antique jewellery. He took the initiative to follow Instagram pages of jewellers who specialise in sourcing antique pieces, ultimately messaging one to secure the ideal ring. "He had gone away and followed some of these sites too," Brookman said, emphasising his thoughtful efforts.

Wedding Plans on the Cattle Farm

Looking ahead to their wedding, the couple plans to celebrate at home on their cattle farm in Kyabram. Lloyd expressed his simple dream for the big day, stating, "I'd be happy in the cow paddock with a barbecue. A couple of eskies, that's my dream." However, Brookman has some ideas to add a touch of elegance to the rustic setting.

She suggested, "I have no problem with it in the paddock, but we might find a nice marquee and zhoosh it up a bit." This blend of down-to-earth charm and refined touches reflects their unique relationship, which has thrived since Brookman moved from the city to the farm after the show.

Their journey from TV romance to real-life engagement serves as an inspiring tale for fans, showcasing how love can blossom in unexpected places. As they prepare for their wedding, Harry and Tess continue to be a beloved couple in the reality TV world, with their story resonating across Australia.
