Concerns Mount for Hugh Jackman's Health Post-Divorce and Gruelling Work Schedule
Hugh Jackman's health fears amid divorce, work stress

Close friends and family of beloved Australian actor Hugh Jackman are reportedly growing increasingly worried about his wellbeing, citing the immense strain of his recent divorce and an unrelenting professional calendar.

Insiders Report Actor Is 'Running on Empty'

According to a source speaking to New Idea, Jackman has been pushing himself to the limit for months and is now visibly worn down. The insider revealed that the star "hardly sleeps" and frequently skips meals, always making his work the top priority.

"Hugh has been running on empty for months," the source said. "He's always been the type to push himself beyond the normal limits but everyone can see he's worn down. He keeps insisting he's fine, but the fact is he's not taking care of himself."

Partner Sutton Foster 'Worried Sick'

Jackman's partner, performer Sutton Foster, is said to be deeply concerned. The source indicated Foster is "worried sick" and is actively pleading with the actor to put his health first. "Sutton's begging him to start putting his health first, and she says she's going to make him take a break, whatever it takes," the insider shared.

The stress is believed to stem significantly from the aftermath of Jackman's separation from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, in 2023. The highly-publicised split and subsequent public scrutiny reportedly hit the actor hard.

"His reputation is everything to him, so to suddenly have all these people judging him and condemning him was horrible, it rocked him," the source explained. "He hasn't allowed himself a minute of downtime to come to grips with it."

Packed Schedule Amid Personal Turmoil

Instead of slowing down, Jackman has immersed himself in work. He is currently promoting his new film, Song Sung Blue, a story about a Neil Diamond tribute band co-starring Kate Hudson.

Furthermore, two additional films featuring Jackman—The Sheep Detectives and The Death of Robin Hood—are in post-production and slated for release next year, indicating no immediate respite.

During a recent interview for Song Sung Blue with Fox 5 DC, Jackman also took a moment to address the tragic Bondi terror attack that occurred on December 14, 2025, targeting a Hanukkah festival.

"It's just devastating, it's my home, so it hits close to home," Jackman said. "This is something we are seeing all over the world, my heart is breaking about it. I just feel particularly for those families, those closely affected, and the community because it's my community."

As concerns mount, those around the iconic Australian performer hope he will heed the calls to rest and recover before his demanding schedule leads to more serious consequences.
