Perth-based content creator Em Davies has publicly shared her profound grief following the unexpected death of her close friend, Daniel 'Dan Dan' Sheard. The 33-year-old tragically passed away in his sleep on November 19, leaving his loved ones devastated.

A Community in Mourning

Daniel Sheard was the fiancé of Davies' best friend, Temika Miller. The young couple were just beginning their life together as a family, sharing a three-month-old baby son named Crue. In an emotional tribute shared on social media, Davies expressed the immense void left by his passing, describing him as a once-in-a-lifetime friend and partner.

"There are no words big enough for this kind of heartbreak," Davies wrote. She remembered Sheard as "the purest, the funniest, most loving, generous person," and "the kind of dad, partner and friend people are lucky to experience even once in a lifetime."

Davies, who is a mother herself to baby Isla, posted a collection of photos celebrating their friendship, which spanned holidays, weddings, and casual get-togethers. She also shared a poignant message about her role as godmother to the couple's son, a responsibility she vows to cherish.

Heartfelt Tributes Pour In

"Being Crue’s godmother is a gift I’ll hold close for the rest of my life," she continued. "So beyond grateful for the videos, the laughter, the memories... None of this feels real. None of it ever will." Davies also praised Miller's strength, stating she was in "awe of our girl" during the darkest days of her life.

Temika Miller herself reflected on the profound loss, writing about a "love so special it will outlive even the deepest pain of losing you." She acknowledged her shattered heart but found solace in their child. "I am so grateful for the greatest gift you ever gave me, our beautiful son. You will live on through him in every smile, every laugh, every tiny piece of his gentle soul," she shared.

The news has resonated across the Australian online creator community, with prominent figures like Nikki Westcott and Rahnee Bransby sending messages of love and support to the grieving families.

Support for a Young Family

In response to the tragedy, Em Davies launched a GoFundMe campaign to alleviate the financial burden on Miller and baby Crue. The fundraiser aims to cover costs such as funeral expenses, with a target of $16,000.

At the time of reporting, the community's generosity was clearly evident, with the page having already raised more than $12,000. The campaign, titled "For Dan’s final goodbye & his world, Temika and baby Crue," offers further insight into the man being mourned.

"This is an unimaginable loss for Temika, for baby Crue, and for Dan’s family," the page reads. It promises that Crue will always know about his father, remembered as "the most loving, loyal, caring man, with a heart bigger than the world." The public can continue to show their support by donating to the ongoing GoFundMe effort.
