Salvation Army Leads Carols In The Domain 2024

Australia's premier Christmas event, Carols In The Domain, is set for a historic change this festive season, with iconic charity The Salvation Army stepping into the role of naming rights partner for the first time in over two decades.

The beloved celebration, now in its 43rd year, solidifies its status as the nation's largest Christmas gathering. Adding to the excitement, popular Sunrise hosts Nat Barr and Matt Shirvington have officially confirmed they will return as masters of ceremony for the event.

A New Chapter with The Salvos

This year marks a significant shift as The Salvation Army takes over the presenting partnership from Woolworths, which had held the title for an impressive 21 years. The charity is no stranger to the event, having been involved for more than four decades.

Woolworths will continue its support as a major event partner, with organisers expressing deep gratitude for the supermarket giant's generous two decades of backing.

Hosts Ready for a Magical Night

Nat Barr shared her enthusiasm for returning to the iconic event, describing it as the best time of the year. She expressed her and Shirvo's thrill at welcoming The Salvation Army as the new heart behind the celebration, highlighting the unique magic of the choir, voices, and colours that make the night unforgettable.

Matt Shirvington echoed the sentiment, calling Carols In The Domain a special night filled with music, family, and the incredible Christmas spirit. He emphasised the added meaning of having The Salvation Army as the naming partner, acknowledging their vital work supporting Australians in need, particularly during the Christmas period.

A Celebration of Hope and Community

The Salvation Army's Janine Kewming stated the charity is proud to extend its strong connection with the carols, promoting shared values of bringing the true hope and joy of Christmas to life. The partnership will also help raise awareness for their annual Christmas Appeal, which supports those doing it tough.

The Carols In The Domain will be held on Saturday, December 20. This annual gathering continues to be a cherished tradition for families across Australia, offering a night of festive music and community spirit.
