English TV presenter Laura Woods fainted during ITV's live coverage of England's international friendly against Ghana on Tuesday. The incident occurred just before kick-off at St Mary's Stadium in Southampton.
Woods was caught mid-collapse by co-hosts Ian Wright and Anita Asante, and the broadcast quickly cut to an advertisement break. When coverage resumed, Katie Shanahan had replaced Woods, stating that she had fallen ill and was receiving care.
Shanahan reassured viewers, saying, 'As you have probably noticed, we don't have the wonderful Laura Woods because she's just been taken ill, but she's in very good hands.' At half-time, she added that Woods was doing okay and sent love on behalf of the team.
Woods' fiancé, reality TV star Adam Collard, later posted on social media that she was 'all OK and with the right people,' thanking fans for their kind messages. Woods is a prominent presenter across men's and women's football for multiple networks.
