Urgent Search Underway for Missing Canberra Man
Authorities in the Australian Capital Territory have launched a public appeal for assistance in locating a 23-year-old man who has been reported missing. Naseeb Gartaula was last seen on the evening of Saturday, November 22, and has not made contact with family or friends since his disappearance.
Last Known Movements and Description
According to ACT Policing, Naseeb left a residence in the suburb of Duffy around 5pm on November 22 to go for a walk. He has not returned, prompting serious concerns from both his family and law enforcement. A key factor adding to the worry is that Naseeb is described as being unfamiliar with the Duffy area.
Police have provided a detailed description of the missing man to aid the public in their search. He is of Nepalese appearance, approximately 177 centimetres tall (5'8"), with a medium build. He has black hair and brown eyes.
When he was last seen, Naseeb was wearing a distinctive all-black outfit, which included:
- A black-hooded jumper
- Black tracksuit pants
- Black sandals
Police and Family Hold Grave Concerns
Due to the circumstances of his disappearance and his lack of familiarity with the local area, both ACT Policing and Naseeb's family have expressed they hold significant fears for his safety and wellbeing. The extended period without contact is considered highly out of character.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen Naseeb or who has any information regarding his current location to come forward immediately. Any detail, no matter how small it may seem, could be vital to the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact ACT Policing on 131 444 and to quote the reference number 8225191. The police have assured the community that information can be provided anonymously.
