Teenager Hospitalised After Early Morning Stabbing

A violent robbery near Rockingham train station has left a 15-year-old boy in hospital with stab wounds. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning, sparking a police investigation into the alarming attack.

The teenage victim was involved in an altercation with another person near the station at approximately 6:10am, according to police statements. During the confrontation, the situation escalated dramatically when the assailant stabbed the boy in the back before stealing his bag.

Train Journey After Attack

Despite his injury, the wounded teenager managed to board a train following the attack. He travelled to Aubin Grove station where he exited and sought help. Police were alerted to the stabbing at around 6:35am, approximately 25 minutes after the initial altercation occurred.

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene at Aubin Grove station. The 15-year-old received initial treatment for his back wound at the train station before being transferred to Fiona Stanley Hospital for further care.

Investigation Underway

Authorities have confirmed the boy sustained non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover. Rockingham detectives have one person assisting with their inquiries as they work to piece together the events leading up to the violent robbery.
