Logan drive-by shooting leaves couple injured

A quiet Logan neighbourhood has been rocked by a brazen drive-by shooting that left a man and woman with gunshot wounds after their home was targeted overnight.

The terrifying incident unfolded around 10:30 PM on Monday at a residence on Park Ridge Road, where multiple shots were fired into the property from a passing vehicle.

Victims Rushed to Hospital

Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of gunfire, discovering a man and woman both suffering from serious injuries.

The male victim sustained a gunshot wound to his leg while the woman was struck in the arm, with ambos treating both at the scene before transporting them to Princess Alexandra Hospital in stable condition.

Police Launch Major Investigation

Queensland Police have established a crime scene and launched a major investigation into what they're describing as a targeted attack.

Forensic officers spent hours combing the property for evidence, with detectives appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the Park Ridge area to come forward.

"This was a reckless and dangerous act that put lives at risk," a police spokesperson stated. "We believe this was a targeted incident and there is no ongoing threat to the wider community."

Community Left Shaken

Local residents expressed shock and fear following the violent attack, with many describing the normally peaceful neighbourhood as "completely shaken" by the incident.

One neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, told reporters: "We heard the shots and then screaming. It's terrifying to think this could happen right here in our street."

Police are urging anyone with information, dashcam footage, or CCTV from the Park Ridge area between 10 PM and 11 PM Monday night to contact Crime Stoppers immediately.
