Luxury Vehicles Damaged in Dramatic Kembla Grange Transport Accident

A significant traffic incident occurred in Kembla Grange on Monday morning when a car carrier truck crashed, resulting in substantial damage to brand new Toyota LandCruiser vehicles. The accident took place at approximately 10:20 am on November 10, 2025, on Northcliffe Drive near the Bunnings Warehouse roundabout.

Scene of the Accident

Emergency services rushed to the location after the flatbed truck, which was transporting three Toyota LandCruiser Prados valued at a minimum of $73,000 each, failed to navigate the roundabout successfully. The truck configuration included one vehicle on the main deck and two others on a towed trailer.

The force of the impact caused the trailer to tip at a dangerous 45-degree angle. One of the luxury SUVs was violently thrown from the trailer onto the road surface, landing on its side. This vehicle sustained significant roof damage and a shattered windscreen.

The second Prado on the trailer remained secured by its straps but was left in a precarious, teetering position that required careful stabilization by recovery crews. The incident brought westbound traffic to a complete standstill during the morning hours as authorities managed the complex recovery operation.

Investigation and Historical Context

Lake Illawarra Police have confirmed that fortunately, no injuries were reported from the crash. Authorities have launched a full investigation into the circumstances that led to the accident.

This is not the first incident of its kind in the Illawarra region. In June 2024, a similar crash on Reddalls Road resulted in six luxury cars, valued at over $1 million, being destroyed when they were thrown from their transport vehicle.

Police are appealing to the public for assistance with their investigation. They have requested that anyone with dashcam footage of the incident or any relevant information contact Lake Illawarra Police Station at 4232 5599 or Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.

The successful recovery of the vehicles and clearance of the roadway represented a significant operation for local emergency services, highlighting the ongoing challenges of transporting high-value vehicles through urban areas.
