Family Mourns Talented Photographer After Tragic Collision
A Queensland photographer has been tragically killed in a horrific motorcycle accident on the Gold Coast, with her family remembering her as an extraordinary mother, wife and friend.
Nadia Shevtsova, 38, lost her life while riding with a group of motorcyclists on Ashmore Road in Bundall around 8:15pm on Friday evening.
Police confirmed that three riders collided between Chale Court and Showcase Court during the group ride, with the incident resulting in catastrophic consequences for the mother-of-three.
Emergency Services Battle to Save Life
Despite immediate medical attention from paramedics who rushed to the scene, Nadia sustained critical injuries that proved fatal. She was declared deceased at the location of the accident.
Her husband, Vitalii Brokhof, expressed profound gratitude toward the emergency services and first responders who desperately tried to save his wife's life.
"I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who was there in her final moments," Mr Brokhof stated. "The emergency services, first responders, and the people who stopped to help. Thank you for your care, your actions, and your humanity."
A Life Cut Short: Remembering Nadia
Nadia Shevtsova was much more than a victim of a tragic accident - she was a successful photographer running her own business, a passionate motorcyclist, and a devoted family woman.
The Browns Plains resident, located south of Brisbane, shared three children with her husband of over 16 years. She regularly showcased her photography work online and shared her love of motorcycling with her social media followers.
"Nadia was the love of my life," her heartbroken husband shared. "She was full of light, strength, and kindness. Her last ride was something she loved - and I am grateful to everyone who tried to help her come home."
Other Riders Injured in Multi-Bike Collision
The collision involved two other riders who suffered varying degrees of injury. A 20-year-old man was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The third rider involved in the incident, a 50-year-old man, received only minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
In a heartbreaking tribute posted to Nadia's supporters, Mr Brokhof announced that there would be "no new videos, posts, or photos" and that "her chapter on Earth has come to an end."
Community Support and Witness Accounts
One social media user reached out to the grieving husband to reveal that she and her family had been present at the accident scene.
"Vitaliy, my husband, son and I were with Nadia from the very moment it happened," the witness wrote. "I would like to let you know we held her hand and comforted her until we couldn't anymore. She wasn't alone."
The tragedy forms part of a devastating weekend for Queensland's motorcycle community, with two other serious incidents occurring within hours.
Concerning Pattern of Motorcycle Incidents
On Saturday, just one day after Nadia's death, a 27-year-old Cannon Hill man died when his motorcycle collided with a car around 12:30pm.
Earlier on Friday, before the Bundall tragedy, a 19-year-old Buderim man was hospitalised with life-threatening injuries after crashing his motorcycle into a road sign in Maroochydore.
Investigations into all three accidents continue as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding each incident.
Nadia's husband concluded his emotional tribute with a promise: "When my time comes, and I join you, I hope you'll meet me so we can continue our journey together - but not today. I love you so much, and I will love you forever."
