Mid-West Woman's Million-Dollar Christmas Dream Comes True
A woman from Western Australia's Mid-West region is preparing for what she describes as a Christmas she'll never forget after becoming the state's latest millionaire. The Northampton resident scored a life-changing $1 million division one prize in Monday night's Millionaire Medley draw, purchasing her winning System 7 ticket from Northampton Newsagency.
Family Christmas Made Perfect With Lottery Win
The thrilled winner revealed the incredible timing couldn't be better, as this year marks the first time in many years that her entire family will be together for Christmas Day. "This year is going to be the first time in a long time where our entire family will be together on Christmas Day," she shared. "It's going to be a lot of fun — we have a very big family! There will be lots of children running around, which makes Christmas special, but to have also won the Millionaire Medley prize is incredible."
Bigger Prizes Ahead in Black Friday Special Event
Lotterywest spokesperson Jake Battrick confirmed this win represents Western Australia's 16th division one Millionaire Medley winner so far this year. Even more exciting opportunities are on the horizon for lottery players. "From next week, Millionaire Medley players will have the chance to double their prize across all divisions for three draws in the Black Friday Special Event," Mr Battrick announced. "That means a division one prize of $2 million is on offer for up to six winners in each draw on Friday November 28, Monday December 1 and Wednesday December 3."
Tickets for the Millionaire Medley Black Friday Special Event remain available until 6pm through various channels including in-store, online, or via the Lotterywest App, with the final draw occurring on December 3.
This $1 million windfall follows another significant Western Australian lottery success story, where a Mandurah couple claimed a massive $50 million Powerball jackpot just last week. Their winning ticket, purchased through Lotterywest's Play Online portal, stood as the nation's sole division one winner.
Meanwhile, WA lottery players continue contributing to their communities, with Lotterywest confirming a $1.5 million grant will support this weekend's WA Day Festival, ensuring a packed schedule of free, family-friendly activities for all to enjoy.
