Assault and Public Nuisance Allegations
One of the more serious matters involved Jye Anthony Graham, a 24-year-old man from Manoora. Graham faced charges of common assault and committing public nuisance. The court heard the allegations relate to an incident that occurred on Thursday, January 8. His case was adjourned, and he is scheduled to reappear at a later date.
In a separate case, Johnathan James Lacey, aged 34 and also from Manoora, was charged with common assault. The details of the alleged assault were presented to the court. Lacey's matter was likewise adjourned for future mention.
Drug and Property Offences Before the Bench
The court also processed several drug-related charges. Kane Robert Hamilton, a 30-year-old from Westcourt, was charged with possessing a dangerous drug. His case proceeded and was finalised with a conviction recorded.
Kyal Richard James, 28, from Manunda, faced charges for possessing both a dangerous drug and drug paraphernalia. The court finalised his matter, resulting in a conviction.
Property crime was represented by the case of Jarrod Leslie James, a 39-year-old from Manoora. He was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. His case was adjourned to a future date.
Traffic and Driving Charges
A number of defendants faced charges related to driving. Kane Robert Hamilton, who also faced drug charges, was separately charged with driving without a licence. This charge was finalised alongside his drug matter.
Steven Brian Lacey, 37, from Manoora, was charged with driving while disqualified by a court order. His case was adjourned.
John Reuben Sibley, a 26-year-old from Manoora, was charged with driving without a licence. The court finalised his matter, recording a conviction.
In another traffic case, Jarrod Leslie James (also charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle) faced an additional charge of driving without a licence. This was adjourned along with his other charge.
