Less than twenty-four hours later, at approximately 11:50 AM on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, a second e-bike was reportedly taken from outside a restaurant located on Gladstone Avenue in Wollongong. Police were notified promptly after each theft, leading to a coordinated investigation.

Arrests and Charges Laid

By about 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 8, officers had arrested both suspects. The younger man faces two counts of larceny and one count of entering a building with intent to commit an indictable offence. He was refused bail and is scheduled to appear before Bail Division Court 3 on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The older man has been charged with larceny, entering a building with intent to commit an indictable offence, and possessing goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen. He was granted conditional bail and is set to appear at Wollongong Local Court on May 26, 2026.
