Kyle Sandilands backs Pauline Hanson, urges 'orange bulldozer' vote
Kyle Sandilands backs Pauline Hanson's orange wave

Kyle Sandilands has called on Australians to cast their votes for Pauline Hanson and drive an "orange bulldozer" through the current government.

The former radio personality said he had gone down a political rabbit hole after being let go from his lucrative broadcasting role earlier this year.

Sandilands joins One Nation wave

The 55-year-old revealed he had jumped on the One Nation bandwagon and is now assisting Hanson with public relations.

"Let's put this orange bulldozer through this government and just get rid of the waste," he said outside his mansion in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

He said Hanson reached out to him after his recent sacking, confirming the two have become good friends.

"Very nice, very empathetic, so I now call her Aunty Pauline," Sandilands said.

There is no formal arrangement between the pair just yet, and they are simply mates, Sandilands stated.

He previously described Hanson as "one of my favourite people now" and also praised One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce.

"I spent time with both of them, and they're very inspirational," Sandilands said in an interview on the Game Changers podcast.

Albanese also reached out

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also reached out to him two weeks after he was dumped from the airwaves in March, Sandilands revealed.

Sandilands' comments came in the same week he reached a settlement with his former employer, bringing half of a bitter legal battle to an end.

ARN Media announced it would pay Sandilands $12 million in an ASX announcement published on Wednesday.

Sandilands lodged a lawsuit after his show was axed following an on-air spat with former co-host Jackie "O" Henderson in February.

Separate legal proceedings between Henderson and her former employer remain ongoing.

Both had sought the full payout of the remainder of their 10-year, $100 million contracts signed at the end of 2023.

Henderson did not appear at a Sydney court this week for a scheduled case management hearing. There was no requirement for her to attend.

Her agent, Gemma O'Neill, was in court as the matter was set down to continue towards a trial due to begin on October 12.

Sandilands has not ruled out working with Henderson again, leaving the door open for a reunion on his new project which could launch in August.
