Police in Canberra are actively searching for a man accused of a serious assault in the city centre that left one victim missing multiple teeth. The incident, which has sparked a public appeal for information, occurred on Bunda Street in the early hours of the morning.

According to authorities, the alleged offender punched a man in the face multiple times around 6am on February 22, resulting in the victim losing several teeth. The suspect is said to have chased the victim on the road before the victim managed to escape by jumping into a taxi. Police further allege that the man assaulted a second individual who was nearby before fleeing the area.
Police Release Image and Description
On Tuesday, March 31, investigators released an image of the alleged offender in an effort to identify him. He is described as having a Pacific Islander appearance with dark facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a white baseball cap, a green T-shirt, white shorts, and white sneakers.
An ACT Policing spokeswoman stated, "Police would like to speak to the second man who was assaulted, or anyone who witnessed the incidents." Authorities are urging anyone with information or who can identify the man to contact Crime Stoppers ACT, quoting reference number 8311638.
