Police officers attended a property on Melton Close in Werribee on Friday afternoon to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival, they located the bodies of a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman inside the home.

The property is currently listed on the real estate market and was scheduled to be open for inspection on Saturday. The listing has since been withdrawn as police continue their inquiries.

Neighbours express shock

Residents in the quiet neighbourhood have expressed shock and disbelief over the discovery. One neighbour reported that they had not heard any signs of disturbance coming from the home.

“Neighbours are quiet, so I haven’t really heard anything like argument or fighting,” the neighbour said.
