Shoalhaven Man Pleads Guilty to Extensive Harassment and Threats

A man from the Shoalhaven region has entered a guilty plea in court after being accused of a severe campaign of harassment and intimidation against a woman. The case, heard at Nowra Local Court, involves multiple breaches of a domestic violence order and alarming threats.

Details of the Charges and Court Proceedings

William Robert Bloxsome, aged 26, appeared before the court from custody on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. He pleaded guilty to several serious offences, including four counts of contravening an apprehended domestic violence order. Additionally, he admitted to one count of contravening this order three times within a 28-day period and one count of intimidation.

According to police documents presented in court, the female victim was known to Bloxsome and was protected by existing court orders. The harassment spanned from November 2025 to January 2026, with Bloxsome using various email addresses to contact the victim repeatedly.

Nature of the Abuse and Harassment

The court papers revealed disturbing details about the content of the messages. Bloxsome sent abusive communications, calling the victim a "mutt" and making explicit threats to "kill" her. He also threatened to "stomp" the heads of the victim and her family members, escalating the fear and distress caused.

In a particularly intense period, Bloxsome called the woman's phone number a staggering 819 times over just one week in January 2026. This relentless contact highlights the severe and persistent nature of the harassment.

Arrest and Ongoing Legal Process

Bloxsome was arrested and taken into custody after police were alerted that he was at the victim's address on the evening of January 25. This intervention likely prevented further potential harm.

The court has ordered a sentencing assessment report to be prepared. Bloxsome is scheduled to reappear before Nowra Local Court on March 18 for sentencing, where the full consequences of his actions will be determined.

This case underscores the serious impact of domestic violence and the importance of legal protections for victims. It serves as a reminder of the need for vigilance and support in addressing such offences in the community.
