Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was assaulted by a group of youths at the Gungahlin Marketplace tram station on Friday night, leaving him with significant injuries.
Incident Details
Between 9:30pm and 10:30pm on May 15, the victim was standing at the station when he was approached by a group of young individuals. According to ACT Policing, the group allegedly asked the man for a cigarette. When he declined, one of the youths reportedly kicked and spat on him.
The man sustained notable injuries during the encounter, and investigations into the assault are ongoing.

Authorities are now working to identify the group involved and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Investigators are particularly interested in speaking with witnesses who may have seen the incident or captured mobile phone footage in the area at the time.
