Geelong forward Shannon Neale has expressed his delight at seeing teammate Tyson Stengle return to form, as the Cats prepare for the upcoming AFL season. Neale, speaking to the media, highlighted the positive impact Stengle has had on the team since his return from a personal break.
Stengle's Return Boosts Team Morale
"It's been great to see Tyson back out there," Neale said. "He brings a lot of energy and excitement to the group. We all know what he's capable of, and it's fantastic to have him firing again." Stengle, who took time away from the club last season, has been training strongly and is expected to play a key role in Geelong's forward line.
Neale, who is entering his third season with the Cats, also spoke about his own development. "I'm feeling really good about my game. I've been working hard on my consistency and trying to contribute more to the team. The pre-season has been tough, but I'm ready for the challenge."
Miers Returns to Full Training
In other positive news for Geelong, Gryan Miers has returned to full training after recovering from an off-season knee injury. Miers, a key forward for the Cats, was seen participating in all drills at a recent training session. His return is a significant boost for the team, as they look to build on last season's performance.
"Gryan is a very important player for us," Neale added. "He's got great footy smarts and he's really creative around goals. Having him back at full training is a big plus for the group."
The Cats are expected to field a strong side this season, with several players returning from injury and others showing promising form during the pre-season. Geelong's first match of the season is against the Western Bulldogs at GMHBA Stadium in March.
