LIV Golf Returns with Expanded Format on Seven and 7plus Sport

The LIV Golf season is back with a bang, featuring four-day events that promise to deliver even more action for Australian fans. All the excitement will be broadcast live and free on the Seven Network and its streaming platform, 7plus Sport. This expanded format marks a significant step forward for the innovative golf league, offering more coverage and engagement opportunities.

Season Opener in Riyadh and Return to Adelaide

The 2026 season will launch under the lights in Riyadh, running from Thursday, February 5 through to Sunday, February 8. Following the Middle Eastern opener, the competition swiftly heads back to Australian shores for the highly anticipated LIV Golf Adelaide event.

From Thursday, February 12 to Sunday, February 15, elite golf and a vibrant party atmosphere will take over The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide. This event has quickly become a fan favourite, known for its unique blend of top-tier sport and entertainment.

Adelaide's Crowd-Pulling Event

LIV Golf Adelaide has drawn massive crowds in its first two years, thanks to its dynamic format featuring shotgun starts, live music performances, and the iconic “Watering Hole” at Hole 12. The 2026 edition will see all 13 of the league's teams in action, ensuring a packed field of international talent.

Local fans will have plenty to cheer for, with hometown heroes Ripper GC leading the charge. The Australian team features star players Cameron Smith, Lucas Herbert, Marc Leishman, and new recruit Elvis Smylie. Ripper GC clinched victory at the inaugural LIV Golf Adelaide event in 2024, but they face stiff competition this time around.

They will be up against formidable international teams such as Crushers GC, Legion XIII, 4Aces GC, and Smash GC, making for an unpredictable and thrilling tournament.

Seven Network's Commitment to LIV Golf

Kirsty Bradmore from the Seven Network expressed enthusiasm about broadcasting the expanded LIV Golf format. “LIV Golf’s expanded 2026 format represents exactly the kind of bold, modern sports product we want on Seven,” she said.

“It delivers more live hours, more storylines and more opportunities to engage fans across broadcast, streaming and digital – and we’re excited to be part of that growth.”

Bradmore highlighted how the fast-paced and innovative nature of LIV Golf resonates strongly with Australian sports fans. “The expanded format allows us to deliver more live coverage, more prime-time moments and deeper storytelling around players and events that matter to local audiences.”

She added, “The Adelaide event continues to be a standout on the LIV Golf calendar, and we’re pleased to showcase it as a marquee Australian sporting moment across Seven and 7plus Sport.”
