An investigation is underway after a body was discovered near a highway in a famous Australian gold mining town.
Discovery in Kalgoorlie
Emergency services were called to Goldfields Highway in Kalgoorlie, approximately 600 kilometres east of Perth, at around 10am on Friday. The grim find was made near Roberts Street, prompting police to search the surrounding bushland, according to the Kalgoorlie Miner.
Police Investigation
Authorities have yet to release details regarding the age or gender of the deceased. Western Australia Police have launched a full investigation into the death and are appealing for any information or vision from potential witnesses.
