A man is assisting police with their investigation after a woman was discovered deceased near a highway in Western Australia.
Discovery of the Body
The 35-year-old woman was found unresponsive near the side of the Goldfields Highway in Kalgoorlie, approximately 600 kilometres east of Perth, at around 9:55 am on Friday. The grim discovery was made near Roberts Street, and police have since searched bushland in the vicinity, according to the Kalgoorlie Miner.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Investigation
On Saturday, police stated that a 38-year-old man, believed to have been known to the woman, is cooperating with Homicide Squad detectives as part of their inquiries. The WA Police have launched an investigation into the death and are appealing for information or footage from potential witnesses.
