Police Plea After Man Found Dead Outside Pub
A man has died behind a pub in Melbourne's West overnight in an incident police are describing as “suspicious.” He was found with serious injuries on Nicholson Street in Footscray at approximately 7:45 PM on Sunday and died shortly after emergency services arrived. The man has yet to be formally identified.
Police have stated that the death is being treated as suspicious and a crime scene remains in place. Footage from the scene shows dozens of officers scouring the area and questioning individuals while a police helicopter circled overhead. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers. The incident follows a fight outside the Courthouse Hotel in Footscray, which is believed to be connected. A man was murdered after that altercation, as reported earlier.
