Firefighters battle blaze above Lambton store early Tuesday

Fire above Ezymart on Elder Street

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) received reports of a fire on the second level above the Ezymart on Elder Street just before 4am on Tuesday, April 28. A spokesperson from FRNSW confirmed that five fire trucks were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the flames.

By 4:30am, firefighters had the fire under control, and crews had departed the location by 5:52am. Emergency services determined that no one was inside the building at the time of the incident. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities are continuing their inquiries.
