IKEA Recalls Garlic Press Over Metal Pieces Risk

IKEA has issued a recall for a popular kitchen gadget following the risk of small metal pieces breaking off the item and into food. The furniture giant has urged customers to stop using its IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press in black.

An internal investigation revealed a production error, IKEA said, showing a risk of small metal pieces detaching from the garlic press during use and then being ingested with the food.

Customers who own an affected garlic press should immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a full refund, the company said. The product has the date stamp 2411(YYWW) until 2522 (YYWW) and the article number 601.636.02.
