Two individuals have been transported to hospital following a serious multi-vehicle collision at Port Stephens on Tuesday afternoon. Emergency services responded to the incident on Nelson Bay Road near the Fullerton Cove Road intersection around 3pm, where a truck and three cars were involved in a crash that brought traffic to a standstill.

Initial reports indicated that at least two people were trapped inside their vehicles as paramedics attended to multiple patients at the scene. A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance confirmed that four individuals were assessed by medical teams, with two subsequently taken to hospital for further treatment.
