Dyson Airwrap Hits Record Low Price Ahead of Black Friday 2025
Dyson Airwrap Drops to $549 in Early Black Friday Deal

Australian shoppers are getting an early Christmas present with the Dyson Airwrap dropping to its lowest price in more than three months, signalling an aggressive start to the Black Friday sales season.

According to money-saving experts Sal and Al from the viral podcast Two Broke Chicks, the premium styling tool has been reduced from $849 to just $549 at David Jones - marking the best price seen since August.

Record-Breaking Discounts Revealed

The Two Broke Chicks team conducted extensive research, analysing all Dyson Airwrap sales data from the past three months to confirm this is genuinely the most competitive offer available.

"Previously, David Jones discounted to $565, Harvey Norman discounted to $565 and Amazon discounted to $619," the podcasters revealed. "$549, which is the price it is today, is actually the cheapest it's been in the last three months."

For shoppers looking to stretch their dollars even further, the money-saving experts identified several retailers that offer price matching and price beat policies, including Dyson, David Jones, Myer, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys and Bing Lee.

Black Friday Shopping Trends Emerge

New research from Afterpay indicates Australian consumers are becoming increasingly strategic with their holiday shopping amid cost-of-living pressures.

The data shows that 56 percent of shoppers are spreading costs through payment plans, while 45 percent are deliberately waiting for major sales events like Black Friday to purchase big-ticket items.

This follows a pattern established in 2024, where nearly 40 percent of Australians took advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, making Black Friday the biggest shopping day of the year.

Katrina Konstas, Country Manager of Afterpay ANZ, observed: "Australians are becoming savvier than ever this holiday season. Cost-of-living pressures have made people much more strategic - shopping earlier, timing purchases around sales, and using flexible payment options to maintain control and budget effectively."

What to Expect This Black Friday

This year's Black Friday falls on November 28, but Australian retailers have already begun rolling out discounts from late October.

Traditional wish list items continue to dominate, with clothing and shoes topping preferences at 52 percent, followed by toys (34 percent), books (33 percent), and interior décor items (32 percent).

Beauty products have emerged as surprise performers, serving as popular last-minute self-care gifts during the festive season.

The shopping extravaganza extends beyond Black Friday, with Cyber Monday following on December 1, providing additional opportunities for bargain hunters before the Boxing Day sales.
