In a dramatic twist on Farmer Wants A Wife, five new ladies were introduced to the show this week, with each farmer's family and friends given the power to select one new woman to meet the farmer. The newcomers had the potential to join life on the farm, leaving the original ladies anxiously waiting back at the farms as the farmers embarked on blind dates with their new arrivals.
Alex Opts Out of Bringing New Match Home
Mushroom and cattle farmer Alex from Kin Kin, Queensland, was the only farmer who chose not to bring his new match back to the farm, much to the relief of the women already vying for his heart. For the other four farmers, however, the return home was met with a noticeably frosty reception as they arrived alongside an additional woman.
Zac and Dylan Face Tension
South Australian apple farmer Zac brought back Asher, prompting Maya to pull him aside for a chat after being left questioning where she stood. “What does she have that I don’t have?” she asked. Rodeo cowboy Dylan also returned with a new connection, bringing fellow horse-lover Keeley back to the farm. Dylan later admitted the decision had added a “spanner in the works” as relationships continued to develop.
Jarrad's Kiss Sparks Jealousy
Farmer Jarrad from Taylorville, South Australia, quickly hit it off with newcomer Christina. When the other women learned the pair had shared a kiss during their blind date, the revelation was described as a “stab in the heart”.
Jason's Secret Facebook Connection Exposed
But it was farmer Jason’s decision to bring Kimberley back to the farm that sparked some of the biggest questions of the night. It was revealed the pair already knew each other from Facebook, having connected online years earlier. The fallout from that revelation continues on Sunday, when Kimberley is confronted by Jason’s other women about her past secret connection to the dairy farmer. The conversation doesn’t sit well with Poppy and Logan. “It feels like it’s a secret between you guys and we were left in the dark,” Logan said. “It didn’t come from him and I would’ve preferred Jason to tell us. I don’t trust her.”
Farmer Wants A Wife continues 7.00pm Sunday on Seven and 7plus.
