A 20-year-old man from Manoora has been charged with multiple offences, including stalking and indecent treatment of a child, following a police investigation in Cairns.

The man, identified as Xi Lui Baker, was arrested and charged with stalking and indecent treatment of a child under 16. Police allege the offences occurred between January and March this year.
Baker appeared in the Cairns Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where he was remanded in custody. He is set to reappear in court on June 14.

Detectives from the Cairns Child Protection and Investigation Unit launched an inquiry after receiving reports of suspicious behaviour. The investigation led to the arrest of Baker at a Manoora address on Monday.
