Robbie Maddison and Sons Bring High-Flying Act to Cairns

World-renowned freestyle motocross rider Robbie Maddison is bringing his high-flying family act to Cairns this weekend, wowing crowds with death-defying stunts alongside his two young sons.

A Family Affair

The Australian daredevil, known for his record-breaking jumps and appearances in the X Games, will be joined by his sons, aged 8 and 10, who have already begun showcasing their own impressive skills on two wheels. The trio will perform together as part of a special event at the Cairns Showgrounds on Saturday and Sunday.

Maddison, who has been a professional rider for over two decades, said it was a dream come true to share the sport he loves with his children. "It's incredible to see them develop their own passion for riding and to be able to perform as a family," he said.

Thrilling Performances

The show will feature a range of jaw-dropping tricks, including backflips, 360s, and high-altitude jumps. Maddison's sons will demonstrate their growing abilities, with the elder boy already mastering backflips on his motorcycle. The family act promises to be a highlight of the weekend's entertainment, drawing fans from across the region.

Event organizers expect thousands of spectators to attend the two-day spectacle, which also includes live music, food stalls, and other family-friendly activities. Tickets are still available for those wishing to witness the Maddison family's aerial antics up close.

Maddison's career has seen him set multiple world records, including the longest motorcycle jump and the highest ramp jump. He has also performed in Hollywood films and toured globally. However, he says performing with his sons in his hometown of Cairns is a special moment. "There's no place like home, and to have my boys with me makes it even more meaningful," he said.

The event is supported by local businesses and aims to promote outdoor activities and community engagement. For those unable to attend, a live stream will be available on the event's website.
