Miranda Kerr has proven that even supermodels are human after experiencing a wardrobe malfunction while accepting the Living Beauty Award in California. The 43-year-old Australian model attended the Living Beauty Cancer Foundation’s spring luncheon in Beverly Hills, where she was honored for her dedication to health and social impact—a journey she began after her mother was diagnosed with tumors in her spleen.
When Kerr went on stage to receive the award from the charity’s founder, Maison Merenor, the zipper on her butter yellow halter dress suddenly broke. She later told People magazine, “I was like, ‘My zipper broke. That’s why I’m walking like this, not showing my back.’ But it’s still broken, and hopefully I’ll be able to get out of it because it couldn’t go up and down to fix it. But that’s okay.”
During her acceptance speech, the Kora Organics founder addressed the mishap with characteristic poise. “My zip just broke in the back, but that’s okay, it happens. You’re looking at me from the front and worse things have happened,” she said.
After the event, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel expressed her gratitude, saying, “This means so much to me. As many of you know, my journey into health and wellness began after my mum was diagnosed with tumours in her spleen, which led me to create @koraorganics. I feel so aligned with Living Beauty’s mission to support and uplift women navigating cancer with care and compassion.”
Kerr is a mother of four, with a son from her previous marriage to Orlando Bloom and three children with her husband, Evan Spiegel, whom she married in 2017.
