Firefighters were called to Florence Taylor Street in the suburb of Greenway at approximately 8:30 am on February 16, 2026. The home, which is situated along a walking track near Lake Tuggeranong, was observed with flames emerging from its roof around 8:45 am.

According to an Emergency Services spokesperson, multiple Fire & Rescue vehicles were deployed to combat the blaze. The spokesperson confirmed that the fire caused a substantial amount of damage to the structure of the home.

All occupants had evacuated the premises prior to the arrival of emergency crews, and no injuries were reported during the incident. The fire was largely brought under control by 9:15 am, allowing authorities to focus on containment and investigation efforts.
