According to NSW Ambulance Inspector Carolyn Margetts, paramedics treated the motorbike rider, a woman in her 50s, for limb injuries at the scene. She was then transported to the helicopter base in Albion Park before being airlifted to St George Hospital in Kogarah, where she was reported to be in a stable condition. The male driver of the ute was taken to Wollongong Hospital for assessment, sustaining only minor injuries.
Inspector Margetts noted that four paramedic crews, along with herself and an aeromedical team, were dispatched to manage the situation. Police also attended, closing Kingston Street to facilitate medical treatment and scene clearance. At the crash site, the motorbike was left lying in the road, and a large dent was visible on the driver's side of the ute, indicating the severity of the impact.
