Dunsborough’s acclaimed Yarri Restaurant + Bar will take up residence at Crown Perth from July 29 to September 5, bringing modern South West Australian dining to the space formerly home to Bistro Guillaume. The pop-up follows successful six-week stints by Fireback (Thai pop-up from chef David Thompson) and Greek by George Calombaris.
Chef Aaron Carr Leads the Pop-Up
Executive chef Aaron Carr, crowned Western Australian Chef of the Year in 2015, will lead Yarri in Perth. Carr has worked with global culinary figures Massimo Bottura and Matt Orlando, incorporating international techniques into local ingredients. The menu features premium, ethically sourced Western Australian produce, with three- or six-course options framed as a modern Australian dining experience. Expect kingfish, rich lamb, and vibrant vegetable plates.
Spotlight on the South West
Carr aims to highlight the South West as a regional food destination for Perth diners who may not have travelled south. “For many of our guests, Yarri has long been a destination worth travelling for — so to now have that same quality and sense of place available here in Perth is a fantastic outcome,” he said. “It gives our guests access to an exceptional regional offering, without the need to travel south, and further strengthens Crown as a dining destination.”
Yarri’s Accolades and Availability
Yarri has been named in several top 100 lists nationwide. Crown Perth CEO Brian Pereira recognised it as one of WA’s most celebrated dining experiences. The pop-up will be open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, with bookings essential.
