A new Italian dining destination founded by three Italian friends in their 30s is set to become a beloved neighbourhood spot in North Perth. Cibo Bar and Kitchen has officially opened its doors on Charles Street, brought to life by the founding trio Francesco Scognamiglio, Federico De Luca, and Emiliano Succi. Together, they have transformed their shared passion for food and wine into a vibrant culinary experience.
Inspired by Roman Roots
Drawing inspiration from their Roman upbringing and the Italian way of life, the menu at Cibo is a lively celebration of Italian classics with a contemporary twist. Guests can enjoy wood-fired pizzas and fresh handmade pasta, alongside dishes that blend tradition with modern flair.
Menu Highlights
Appetizers include wild mushroom, truffle, and thyme arancini, as well as burrata finished with balsamic caviar and anchovy crumb, served with Italian fried dough. For pasta lovers, the pappardelle wrapped in slow-cooked beef rib ragù and tagliolini layered with WA tiger prawns, bisque, and bottarga are standout choices. Hearty mains feature Scotch fillet finished with fresh herb chimichurri, or crumbed chicken cotoletta — a nod to traditional Italian home cooking.
The restaurant aims to become a local favourite, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the founders' dedication to authentic Italian hospitality. With its focus on quality ingredients and bold flavours, Cibo Bar and Kitchen is poised to make a mark on Perth's dining scene.
