A 51-year-old man has been charged after police allegedly discovered multiple firearms, imitation weapons, drugs and a machete at a property in Melbourne's west.
Victoria Police said members of the illicit firearms squad and the Viper taskforce arrested the man following a search of a home in Sunshine on Thursday.
Officers allegedly seized six firearms, an imitation pistol converted to fire live ammunition, two imitation pistols, firearm parts, and schematics for manufacturing firearms. They also found methylamphetamine, steroids, testosterone, and a machete.
The man has been charged with offences including possessing a traffickable amount of firearms, manufacturing firearms, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and trafficking and possessing methylamphetamine.
